Hello, things have warmed up a little here and I was outside tonight taking care of the dog. I noticed the snow was covered in what i thought was a bunch of seeds or something. Rolling Eyes However I looked closer and the whole yard was covered in these little bugs. They almost resemble tiny little earwigs in shape. Any ideas? Here is a pretty fair picture for the camera I use.

I've seen these before too. I believe they're some type of beetle larva

They look like some sort of rove beetle larvae to me, but it could be something else as well. Seems unusual that they are crawling around in the snow, might be worth trying to get a better, up close picture of the larvae and posting it on bugguide, see what the experts have to say. Smile
