Thanksgiving is overrated. But please, make sure you camp out overnight in front of the mall so you can trample your neighbors on Black Friday in order to be the first to get your spoiled kids that super cheap toy! (sarcasm)

Working as a cashier on several Black Fridays, let me tell you a secret: All those "fancy" things you are buying for a "good deal" are pieces of crap that the store carted in by the pallet KNOWING a sucker like you will eat it up. Trust me.

Most holidays are overrated. As far as Black Friday goes, I went to one. My wife was working at it and still does. I don't bother anymore. I buy what I want when I want now.

I haven't worked on a Black Friday in many years. I heard someone got shot to death at one cause the shooter wanted their PS4. That's sad.

I have never did the black Friday or the purple Monday sprees either, and any of the rest and best July 4th sales and such, but I do eat turkey and love a good backyard barbecue at times.
I also know that customs and beliefs can be and continue to be a big problems in many forums, and best be left out.
Any political, religious, and personal views should be left out of science and biology forums.

Well, it is not excluded in the forum rules so I see no reason why an off-topic thread on beliefs could be allowed, so long as no trouble is caused and the members act in a polite way.
