how do you post pictures?

Is there an attachment button for pictures?

Yes... you may nave noticed I  have put in images to posts such as my earwig journal.  If you are looking to add images using a link from imgur or something and want the image to appear in the post? Here is how!

When posting, you look to the top of where you are typing, where the toolbar is. There 4th toolbar box where it says Host an image/ Insert Image/ Insert a link/ Insert a youtube video.... click on the Insert image, and put in your link where it says URL and type in your photo dimensions... where it says width and height. I typically just do 500 by 400.

I do not get any of those options when I post. No smilies, font size, or any other options. Just Title and Message body.

Sorry but I do have the toolbar and all my other members?...

I am using Google Chrome. I believe it is only one member experiencing this so I suggest you clear your browser cache as all members have those options or you could just completely try a different browser

What do ya know! It works!   Only in Microsoft edge, not google chrome. Odd.
I do not want to use photobucket or the like. How to I just get to browse my pictures?

Can you get to this image?

No, but if you use imgur, it works the best! They download fast and and you just copy the link titled "Direct Link and follow the first instructions above. It will be embed right into the post!

I wish you could make your page a little less complicated for some of us old users easier to use. If so more insects could be in line with less skips and problems trying to figure it out.

Hello everyone, a number of people have complained they are not able to post pictures. I just want everyone to be aware I am thoroughly looking into this. I will notify everyone when I have an answer or resolution to the problem.

Hello everyone, I am making this post to show everyone how to post pictures on the forums. I know alot of people are having problems so i apologize for that. I stayed up an hour late last night working with the forum support. I did change a few things around and hope it made some difference.

The number one way to post pictures and is my favorite is through imgur. All you have to do is put the image link in between these brackets You can either just type these in or hit the Insert image button and type in your link. The just hit insert image! No need to type in the height or width.



If you would like to host an image from your computer files, then simply click on the " Host an image."  Then in the green button where it say's select images. Click on the image you would like to post and push the button "open". Then hit the button that has the send to symbol. It should begin downloading. Then once finished hit "insert all".

If neither of these methods work, please reply to this telling me so. Take a screen shot of what you see. Then I will e mail you, and you can give me the screen shot in the e mail. By doing that I will be able to see what you see what you see and be able to help you solve this problem.

At first I was really confused! "next year?" Lol I forgot today is new years eve!

A new year for sure, hope for the best. I will take another look at this issue, made a few changes with file indexing, i`m not really sure if that had anything to do with it.
