Technically incorrect labeling...

So the "Garden Insects" section includes isopods, snails, slugs and worms, which are not actually insects. Additionally, that subforum is under "Specific Insect Keeping", so maybe you should change them to " Garden Invertebrates " and "Specific Invertebrate Keeping"? I know that wouldn't go with the theme of " InsectBoards", but I just thought I'd bring it up.
Yeah at the time I wasn't sure how to go about this. Some people recommended I stick with that for people that don't now a whole lot about insects and are here to ask questions about insects in the gardens for example. However I am definetly up for changing this as it kinds if bugs me too. Let me think on this how I could change things around so they are technically correct, but a person that doesn't know a whole lot about it can understand.

And invertebrate zoology could cover anything invertebrate that is not specific to insect keeping, field observations and a host of other events that could be used at times. Down this way the garden can host a huge variety of species of invertebrates (example nematodes and mites) if people are interested in other types.

Sort of confusing to me since invertebrates are listed in off topic.

add Antlions and Lacewings / (Neuroptera)
Perhaps make a section for "Non-insect invertebrates", that would cover all invertebrate groups outside the Insecta. Also just noticed the arachnid section is under " Specific Insect keeping" as well, perhaps you should change the "Specific Insect keeping" to Specific Invertebrate Keeping.

Just my opinion but 75 percent of the topics are listed as specific insect keeping. Nothing wrong with keeping, but why not list the sections as the study of and keeping insects. I study insects and sometimes keep a few, some are live views and then tossed out, and I keep a few dead ones for study.
Any other opinions?

Hisserdude, I just changed the category title from Specific insect keeping to, ( Specific Insect and Invertebrate Keeping ) and changed the forum that was titled, (garden insects) to ( Garden Insects and Invertebrates ) I am considering splitting up, invertebrates and insect into two different categories, but I am not sure as to whether it is necessary or not.
Insect Rod, I added a category for (The study of Insects and Invertebrates) with the forum, invertebrate zoology below it. Let me know If you think of another topic that would fit under that category, (that would be used)

I think since you have added this category, "the study of insects and other invertebrates", the category invertebrate zoology would not be needed since this would cover either and would be easy to use. Make it less complicated and just remove invertebrate zoology.
Thanks,

Not sure if this is where I say something or not? Sorry if I'm in the wrong place! Maybe you should have named it, Arthropod Boards! Especially since you allow spiders and have even included them in the art work of the web site! lol
Just saying...
PS: all the fine computer work for navigating, posting, email notifications, is really awesome. Nice job!

@Bob The Spider Hunter here is fine. The domain and name is fine. But I have already stated that I should reorganize the sub-forums. That is what I intend on doing. What are your thoughts on the following.... I would keep the other sub forums obviously, and put the ID requests and journals below these. I might seperate the Myriapods from the other subforums after a while as well.
Insects, Invertebrates, Myriapods, & Arthropods
True spiders & Arachnids
ID requests
Journals
