I caught the whole colony in a big floating pile, during a flood. There was actually several colonies of them floating along. So I got a big jar, scooped the whole pile up and drained the water out through a small hole in the lid, then I just like that I had a colony of ants in a jar! I poured them all into an outworl that lead to that plastic hydrated nest you see. And I feed them live Insects, spiders, flies, crickets, etc.

We have not seen a single Woolybear this year!! I am so jealous of yours, he is magnificent. They are my favorite caterpillar and I was hoping to catch one this year to see the moth it emerges as. Maybe next fall...
Yeah, I noticed their is less this year as well... I don't know what was up with this. It's like the monarch, there is very little of them these days, however I was lucky enough to get my hands on three of them this summer.
