Hope this works out. But i'm housing the Deaths head, and the MHC together. Both pairs are in a 20g exo-terra tank.

Thinking about doing the same with the dubia, and the surinam.

I think the shop that sold them to me had them mis identified. After comparing these to actual deaths heads, these are a similar variation. For instance their wing colors, and the sexing differences. Mine are said to be male and female, yet the actual deaths heads females have abdomens that extend past the wing tips..neither of mine do. But with similar species, the females are just larger and the abdomen doesnt extend past the wing tips....idk

Nice collection! Sorry to say though that your B.craniifer are 100% not real craniifer, most likely hybrids actually.

As i figured. After looking through various pages, i couldnt get a proper ID. And after looking at all the close relatives, i figured it was a lost cause to try and figure out what they were.

I thought the coloration was odd. However I haven't got much experience with cockroaches, so I just figured better leave it alone. Where did you get them if you don't mind my asking?

Thank you. I thought i pressed the "Send" button last night, but apparently i didn't.

But that's what i figured. They look different from normal deaths heads.
Hisser, do you have any colonies you'd like to cull?

Yeah, real death heads are much darker, unfortunately there are many B.fusca x B.craniifer hybrids circulating in the hobby, which people tend to label as the more desirable B.craniifer. Sad

I'll actually be posting an ad in the classifieds this week once I get some shipping boxes, with various roach species that I have excess of. Smile
