Maximizing Larvae Production

Good Day to you Sir or Madam!

I am growing more and more interested in insects for the industrial age. I would like to learn to produce a single type of prolific creature to turn into a food source for another creature that people would eventually eat. Are there any resources you could point me to that would help me? I am hoping this type of industry would grow the need for etymologists, create jobs and mitigate the waste stream. I have read a little about the black soldier fly and am interested in learning about others.
