Can someone id this I only need a broad id not species or even genus found it in my pool.

I have to wonder if it is a cockroach wasp? ( ampulex canaliculata )

no it isn't a wasp I think its closely related to termites has the same mouth parts

oh yeah, your in california right? I have to learn to pay attention to locations. 
Hmmm... is it Reticulitermes flavipes. The wing color throws me off some.
