I just wanted to announce the forum is AD free. Before it was just disabled for members, however to give everyone a better experience, ADS are no longer visible to guests either.

Ads can be good and bad. I mean, webmasters have to make a living. I suppose if there was only a way to make ads less intrusive, but then again, some don't mind banner ads.

Cool, right on. I don't run ads either. I get a check each month (I'm retired) and that's more than enough to pay my hosting fees.

Well it does have its downsides. My check is only once a month, and based on how I worked, so others may get more money. But, for me, it works.

Have you considered asking for donations? That's a good model for some websites, but then again, it can be tough.
